As a mom of 3 and 2 with autism I watched the trailer and I was not happy with it. Not to say if I watch the whole movie I would still feel the same way. I have a 7 year old daughter with autism and watching someone play this role that doesn’t relate to her makes me feel disheartening. To say you didn’t cast someone on the spectrum bc they are bad actors is a terrible thing to say. It’s personal for a lot of us when we see movies like this. I look at this girl and try and picture my daughter and just don’t see it. I don’t even know how to feel due to the shock of it. Just seems insensitive. Hopefully we are proven otherwise. ?
