surprise surprise, a new Sia project, another showcase of Maddie Ziegler. I think it would be more of a surprise if she actually expanded her creativity and casting abilities and choose someone else besides Maddie. for me, it gets boring after awhile.I’m excited to watch this with my son, who is a teenager with severe autism. It’s nice to see a character who acts very much like he does in the trailer. ?

Absolutely hurtful! . Even if the intentions were good, the lack of respect shown for people on the autism spectrum is soo lacking it’s unreal. It hurts a lot because I absolutely adore Sia’s music, but i can’t in any way condone any of this disrespect and ableism.. Being autistic myself and knowing what a big spectrum it is, there is no way she couldn’t have found an autistic person to play that role. There is so much more to this and so much wrongdoing, but I’m sure others have covered that in the comments. I’m sure there’s more bad things she did that will come to light in this case, and hopefully an apology will be released as well someday. Disgraceful
